Dr. Susan Hu, CMD, D.T.C.M., D. Ac
Susan Hu completed her Chinese medical degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992 after 6 years of training. She has worked extensively in the health care system of China, sharing her expertise of internal Chinese medicine as a professor at the BeiJing University of Traditional Chinese medicine. Along with her daily practice in China, Dr. Hu was also an attending doctor at the Dongzhimen Hospital, a teaching hospital, for 8 years before she immigrated to Canada. Since 2000 making Toronto her new Home, she has been directing her Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine clinic, helping people with their health concerns; furthermore she has been teaching Acupuncture and TCM at several Canadian Universities and Schools (McMaster & Ryerson among others) holding lectures and classes both in Chinese and English. Her clinic, The Best of Chinese Medicine, was the official training site for the Michener Institute during 2001- 2004. She was awarded the certificate of appreciation for outstanding contribution to the acupuncture program in 2004. Dr. Hu is a member in good standing with the Chinese Medical Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Emily Babaris, DTCM.
Emily Babaris studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for 5 years in Victoria, British Columbia where she received a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine certificate. After graduating, she
completed her BC provincial government regulation tests and obtained a licence as an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She is a member of both The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA) and The Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada in Ontario (CMAAC). Emily specializes in respiratory illness (i.e.
allergies), gynecology and fertility conditions, emotional and digestive disorders and stroke recovery.
Dr. Jaty Tam, N.D. - Naturopathic Doctor
Jaty Tam is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) who promotes health and wellness by focusing on the whole person to target underlying causes of health disorders.
Dr. Tam uses a gentle, natural, and holistic approach to treat a variety of health problems, including (but not limited to):
Tailoring treatment plans for each individual patient’s needs, Dr. Tam uses herbal medicine, dietary counselling, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle counselling. Her approach is to stimulate and strengthen the body’s natural resources to bring about healing, while providing supportive therapies as needed.
Before graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Jaty completed her Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Queens University, and worked as an Engineer in the healthcare field. Her background in Engineering has honed her problem solving skills, which Jaty finds integral in her practice, as she has a unique ability to unravel complex cases to identify and treat the underlying causes of illness.
Jaty is licensed in Ontario by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy (BDDT-N).

Dr. Norman Allan Ph.D., D.C.
Dr. Norman Allan graduated as a doctor of chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in
1986, since when he has been involved in practicing, teaching and studying various aspects of complimentary medicine. Here, at Best of Chinese Medicine, he will be principally
practicing Craniosacral Therapy and Chiropractic (in particularly, the safe, comfortable and effective sagittal Gonstead Technigue).
Before coming to Complementary Medicines, Dr. Allan was a scientist. His Ph.D., in neuroscience (Sussex 1970), was a student of central control of motor
behaviour.
From 1984 to 1993 Dr. Allan was also engaged in research into a wide variety of topics in Alternative Medicine, at the University of Toronto, including Acupuncture,

Shelle Sun graduated from College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology Canada. She is licensed as both RMT and TCM Acupuncturist.
