Susan Hu completed her Chinese medical degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992 after 6 years of training. She has worked extensively in the health care system of China, sharing her expertise of internal Chinese medicine as a professor at the BeiJing University of Traditional Chinese medicine. Along with her daily practice in China, Dr. Hu was also an attending doctor at the Dongzhimen Hospital, a teaching hospital, for 8 years before she immigrated to Canada. Since 2000 making Toronto her new Home, she has been directing her Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine clinic, helping people with their health concerns; furthermore she has been teaching Acupuncture and TCM at several Canadian Universities and Schools (McMaster & Ryerson among others) holding lectures and classes both in Chinese and English. Her clinic, The Best of Chinese Medicine, was the official training site for the Michener Institute during 2001- 2004. She was awarded the certificate of appreciation for outstanding contribution to the acupuncture program in 2004. Dr. Hu is a member in good standing with the Chinese Medical Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Jesse Lown graduated as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist & Acupuncturist in Toronto Canada, and also spent over 3 years in China working in Chinese Medicine hospitals and private clinics. While living in BeiJing, he studied many philosophical and medical classics including the YiJing (Book of Changes), HuangDiNeiJing (Yellow Emperors Innerbody Classic), and XingMingGuiZhi (Doctrine of Human Spirit and Physical Essence).

Kallen Wei is a Registered Massage Therapist who started her practice in 2008.  She has offered her time to community service programs in the form of clinical outreach, including charity events.  Her interships have spanned 130 hours and her desire for learning continues.  She offers a variety of massage therapy styles and techniques, including but not limited to:

Dr. Lei Gu Bsc. ND

 

Lei Gu obtained her undergraduate degree in biological sciences and neuroscience from the University of Toronto.  She then attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. 

She is a certified naturopathic doctor by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy ; Lei is currently a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, as well as the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. 

 

Dr. Lei Gu also teaches part-time at the University of Toronto as well as at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.

 

Naturopathic Medicine has a wide scope of practice, Lei primarily focuses on clinical nutrition, herbal medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Health conditions that can be successfully treated using naturopathic medicine include (but are not limited to):

Dr. Sara Aharon is a registered psychologist. She brings 20 years of experience into her integrative practice. Specializing in treating adults and couples dealing with the effects of trauma, pain, illness, stress and injuries.  


Approaches used: biofeedback, EMDR, clinical hypnosis, Energy Psychology modalities (i.e. EFT, EDxTM), Adlerian and insight oriented psychodynamic interventions, CBT, Positive Psychology.

Heather Finlayson graduated from the Canadian Acupressure College in 2003 with a Diploma of Jin Shin Do Acupressure.  In 2007 she completed a 2200 hour Shiatsu Diploma program at the Shiatsu School of Canada, graduating with honours.  Heather graduated from Shiatsu School of Canada the beginning of 2009 with a degree in Acupuncture and is now practicing.
